This datasets will contain data collected by the Central Gulf Ocean Observing System (CenGoos) buoy in 2015. This buoy is moored south of Horn Island in 20 m of water at 30.0424 ?N and 88.6473?W. The buoy collects both meteorological and oceanographic data including air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, sea surface temperature and salinity, current speed and direction, current profiles, and significant wave height and period. This dataset is related to GRIIDC dataset R4.x260.204:0013 which will contain data from the CenGOOS buoy collected in 2016, and GRIIDC dataset R4.x260.204:0014 which will contain data from the CenGOOS buoy collected in 2017. All datasets are archived by USM. The meteorological and near-sea surface temperature, salinity, and waves data are also served through National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) (identified as Station 42067) and archived by that organization.
